About

Kahve. One was born in March 2020 from a very simple need:
I wanted to find the coffee I was looking for—quickly.

At the time, there were many excellent roasters in Turkey. Great beans, thoughtful work, strong brands.

But keeping track of them all was difficult. Each roaster had a different website, different product structures, and different naming conventions. Searching for the same coffee across multiple sites, comparing prices, or simply answering the question “What’s new?” took a serious amount of time.

So I built Kahve. One on my personal domain, entirely for my own use.

How It Started

The first step was simple: I brought together products from multiple roasters on a single page.

The goal was clear:

  • Find the coffee you’re looking for quickly
  • Compare roasters without getting lost
  • Reach truly good green coffee more easily
  • Ultimately, brew a better cup

Because a great cup starts with the right beans.

The number of roasters in Turkey was growing rapidly. This was exciting—but also increasingly hard to follow. Kahve. One was created to simplify that complexity.

How It Evolved

As the project grew, so did the needs. Listing products alone was no longer enough.

Over time, Kahve. One expanded to include:

  • Coffee prices
  • Newly added products
  • Visibility into who has what
  • Continuously updated, living lists

Kahve. One gradually evolved from a personal list into a dynamic coffee database.

Moving to Kahve.One

At a certain point, the project outgrew its personal roots. The infrastructure was completely rebuilt, and Kahve. One moved to its own domain.

With this transition, the platform opened up not only to Turkey, but to the world.

Today, Kahve.One features:

  • Around 70 roasters from Turkey
  • Around 120 roasters from countries around the world

And these numbers continue to grow. New roasters and new countries are added regularly.

Yet the core goal has never changed: Making life easier for anyone searching for coffee.

Who Is Behind This?

Kahve. One is not a randomly assembled listing site. Behind this platform is Gokhan Selamet.

I am an academic. I am also a coffee professional who began this journey as a hobby and developed it through scientific thinking, sensory work, and competitive experience.

Today:

  • I am the 2025 Turkey Brewers Cup Champion
  • I have been actively involved in national and international competitions both as a competitor and a coach

Thanks to my academic background, I approach coffee not only through taste, but through chemistry, physics, and brewing parameters.

Every structure, decision, and dataset on Kahve. One is based on real-world testing and practical experience.

Kahve. One is for those who are searching for better beans, aiming for better cups, and exploring coffee beyond the surface.

Welcome.
